How To Create Sitemap For Blog? How To Submit a Sitemap To Google Search console?

Welcome ! Sitemap is a list of pages of blog or website which is crawled by user. Sitemap is very helpful to adding new pages or post on Google. It provides facility to add all pages of blog or website in one place so that Easy to index Google. We can create sitemap of own blog. Sitemap added 500 pages of website or blog. 




There are following two polular types of sitemap. First is XML sitemap which submits in Google but user need not to see this. XML sitemap adds pages of website or blog of custom domain. XML sitemap is not available for subdomain. And second one is HTML sitemap, HTML sitemap is in coded format which is not submitted in the Google but it also add pages of website. HTML sitemap is used for subdomain like blogger.

Here, I will tell you to create both sitemap so that you can create sitemap easily.

How To Create Sitemap For Blog Or Website?


1. Steps For Create XML Sitemap

As I mentioned above that XML sitemap is only for custom domain. It doesn't support subdomain like xym.blogspot.com.

(A) First of all go to XML Sitemap Generator webpage.

(B) After it, enter details for sitemap generator like
  • Enter your blog URL                                                                                                                                 
  • Choose "Always" in choose frequency                                                                                                      
  • Don't get changes in last modification                                                                                                     
  • Choose "Automatically Calculated Priority" in priority

(C) After filling the detail, click on the "Start" button to generate your sitemap. Wait for sometime because your sitemap generation is being process.


When, you will be show a message "Your blog sitemap is ready" then your blog sitemap has been successfully created.




2. Steps For Create HTML Sitemap


HTML sitemap is used for adding pages of website or blog in one place so that easy to index in Google. It is used for adding sitemap of sub domain like xyz.blogspot.com. For creating HTML sitemap, you have to add new pages in blog.


(A)  First Of all, Go to blogger dashboard and login with your gmail or password. If you have already logined then you don't need to login.

(B)  After it click on the "Theme" Option and then click on the "Edit HTML" option. Then, press CTRL + F and find ]]></b:skin> and then copy the below css code of this page and paste it above the ]]></b:skin>

(C)  After pasting the CSS code, click on the "Save Template"

(D)  Now, click on the "Pages" option in blogger dashboard and then click on the "New Page"

(E)  Now, copy the below code and then go to blogger tab and  Swich the pages to HTML view  from "Compose Mode" and  paste this code.

(F) After pasting code, Click on the "Publish"

Now your sitemap has been created successfully. You can add it into Google.


How To Submit A Sitemap To Google Search Console?



Google webmaster is also known as Google Search Console which is the service of Google that helps to manage or control our webpages. When you will create your sitemap then it is necessary to submit this sitemap into google that helps Google for adding pages of blog or website.


(1)  First of all, Login into Google search console through Gmail or Password.

(2)  After it, click on the your url which URL you want to submit sitemap or which URL you have created sitemap.

(3) Then, click on the "Crawl" option and then click on the "Sitemap" option


click on the crawl and then click on the sitemap



(4) After it, click on the "ADD/TEST SITEMAP" which available on right corner and then write "sitemap.xml" in text box.

(5) After written, click on the "Submit Sitemap" and then refresh this webpage

Now your Sitemap has been successfully submitted in the Google search console or Google webmaster. You can see your traffic on Google search Console.
