Custom Robot Header Tag Setting In Blogger Full Guide


Today, I am going to share that How to add custom robot header tag in blogger blog. If you are a blogger then you must enabled this option in your blog.

What is Custom Robot Header Tag?


Custom robot header tag is like as Robot or guard for our blog which helps in hiding or showing the data from search engine or in search search engine. It also helps in keep securing our private data. 


Custom Robot Header Tag and its purposes


There are following custom robot header tag in blogger blog and its purpose is given in description.

(1) all : - This tag is used when you want to index all data of your blog. If you set all tag then google webmaster or other webmaster freely crawled to index your all blog page.

(2) noindex : - If you don't want to index any pages then you have to tick this option when you will write post. Sometimes many bloggers have some private pages then he doesn't want to display this page on search engine. That's why this option is used.

(3) nofollow : - NoFollow and DoFollow tag are for outbounds links. Dofollow is the default robot tag for all your outbound link that means the search engine can sneak upon the pages you linked to. If you don't want search bots to look through your links, addition of a nofollow tag must help you.

(4) none : - When you select the none option then it combines both the features of noindex or nofollow.

(5) noarchieve : - You will be noticed a cache label with most of the website links on SERP's. It represents that google keep a copy of your website in their server to display your site when your site goes down.

(6) nosnippet : - This tag is used to show or hide description from search engine. If you want to display your description in search engine then you must have to turn on and if you don't want to show description in SERP's then you can turn off this option.

(7) noodp : - Open Directory Project (ODP) use DMoz to show title or description in search engine. If you want to remove your blog from DMoz then you can turn it off. I will recommend you to keep turn on.

(8) notranslate : - If you want to disable translation of your blog then you can use it. 

(9) noimageindex : - If you keep turned on then google or other search engine index your image and if it will be indexed then other bloggers use your image on own website or blog. 

(10) unavailable_after : - If you want to show pages for some times in search engine that means temporary then you can use it and you can set custom date in it to show your pages in search engine.



How To Setting Custom Robot Header Tag In Blogger Blog?


Step 1. First of all, go to blogger and login through your gmail and password.

Step 2. After it, click on the setting tab in blogger dashboard then click on the Search Preferences option.

Step 3. Now, click on the edit option that is in front of custom robot header tag.

Step 4. Then, select yes to set your custom robot header tag in your blog.

Step 5. Now, you have a lot of checkbox option. Don't confuse from this option. Tick on the checkbox looking from below image.

Step 6. Now, click on the save changes option.


Now, your custom robot header tag has been successfully enabled in your blog. enjoy your self and write post.
